Project name: Casa de Montecristo Cigar, Fine Cigars & Smoking Lounge
Project Type: Retail / F&B
Client: Casa de Montecristo
Location: Dallas, TX | Austin, TX | Nashville, TN | Whippany, NJ | Washington DC | New York, NY
Size: Varies based on location
Challenges of this project: The client came to us with a prototype design that they had previously built in North Carolina and asked Tricarico to create a new prototype that maintained the overall aesthetic of the original, but at fraction of the cost. Not only were the designers at Tricarico tasked to develop a new value engineered prototype, but the Tricarico engineering team was directed to design an HVAC system that would provide an enjoyable smoking lounge experience, that was comfortable to breath in and didn’t feel smoky.
Overcoming these challenges: Our designers worked with material and lighting vendors to come up with a budget conscious design that was loyal to the original brand aesthetic, while creating innovative and unique elements for the new prototype. The engineers partnered with select HVAC and humidification vendors to develop a mechanical system that exceeded the client’s customer experience directive.
Results: Tricarico’s involvement in every phase of the projects from site survey, contract documents, bidding and permitting, construction administration, project management and procurement has led to the successful opening of several locations.
