Challenges of this project: Tricarico’s services included prototype design, construction documentation, and construction project management.
The project challenges were threefold –
First, to design for and solve the client’s scope of merchandising assortment and capacity within a small footprint, while creating a refined lifestyle environment with clean and modern simplicity.
Secondly, designing towards an established budget without losing the essence of our vision.
Third, delivering the store on time.
Overcoming these challenges: The key to solving the project challenges began with strategically aligning with the client’s leadership team and trusted vendors to understand objectives and to create and commit to a course of action.
The Tricarico team methodically researched and dissected the merchandising metrics and proposed a fixturing system that provided complete flexibility throughout the store, while utilizing a minimum number of components.
Constant communication amongst the team ensured that the project progressed in a timely fashion and met established milestones.
Results: The new prototype store exceeded merchandising goals for capacity and flexibility. The modern simplicity through thoughtful applications of warm woods, light stones, textured wall coverings and soft fabrics was met with acclaim from the Wacoal team and provides customers with a shopping experience that is comfortable and welcoming. This store surpassed Wacoal’s financial expectations and this design will be replicated in additional locations.
